THE LITO PROCESS
Our process is based on a non-contact, super-high-resolution scanning technology developed for the museum sector. Using the most advanced digital technology, it is now possible to capture everything that goes into a work of art – at a level of detail that goes far beyond what the human eye can detect.

DIGITISING THE SURFACE
The lens of the Lucida 3D scanner moves across the face of a painting at close range, recording every bump, crack and convolution in the painted surface. The scanner produces what is in effect a microscopic digital contour map, a complete topographical record of the work.

TICC
Topographic Image Capture and Cloning makes the surface texture of a painting integral to the finished reproduction. It is impossible to overstate the difference that this makes. A LITO artwork is not just a replication; it is a re-creation of the original masterpiece, with all its original depth, texture, emotion and beauty.
