HKDL is the same with theming in hotels, esp the new Explorers lodge (we stayed at the Hollywood hotel and DLH club level, Explorers wasnt ready yet) and even the room slippers are often themed or you can get themed ones. Room looks nice, were staying next month club level, but we still prefer SLGF. 😀
Hey do you have footage from the Empire State Club Lounge?
Was the upgrade to Empire State Club worth the extra money? With not having the extra fast passes I’m unsure whether to stick to booking club level! Is all you get the afternoon tea, coffee machine and private check in now, or do they add little unadvertised extras?
the room is nice what did that beauty cost per night so happy tom gets to travel again love your videos Wigs forever
I like the rooms
Love the add on about the sink – Tom, I also would have thought twice about how to operate it. Different.
I'm sure it's hard for Dianey to strike a good balance between IP overload and too little IP to fit different folks tastes. This certainly seemed to strike a good balance between the 2 though. Guests must take care of things there as that glass shower door, glass bathroom door, and even the sink faucet seem easy for kids to break.
As always, great tour. Can't wait to visit!
in the bank of plugs (outlets) there is a UK plug, I think one of the other hotels had these after renovation makes life easier when coming from the uk 🙂
Tom, those faucets are designed to resemble the cone + spire ontop of the Chrysler building. 😉 Gorgeous room, and as a comic collector and fan of the indie comic artists hired for some of the pieces displayed here I will 100% be staying at the hotel soon. I appreciate the subtle details like the subway tiling look to the flooring, different textured tile in the shower and the embossed silver. Absolutely my favorite design styles of an art deco era & 1930’s NYC, and I love how it’s done here. Thank you so much for the room tour!
Love the room. Much nicer than the Sequoia Lodge, Golden Forest level that I stayed at 2 years ago.
Wow, as a marvel comic book reader this room is a let down. Nice generic room though at a normal hotel but doesn't scream Disney/Marvel either. Thanks for showing the room
Perfect for those who don’t unpack and live out of suitcase (that would be moi). I liked your nod to nyc in rug design. Very perceptive. ;).
I LOVE Gran Destino Tower!!! It feels very adult my 13 year old niece was like why didn’t they do a Coco themed rooms? I was like good point! Yeah I don’t like the tv in the mirror I think that’s my only complaint with that room.
Really poor design in the Bathroom, for instance in the bathtub area there is 1 swinging glass door/panel on the facing right side of the Tub, and no glass panel against the Vanity Sink. So when showering, how much water goes all over the sink and your toiletry items? And the Toilet area, why did they put sliding glass panels that don't close all the way and are very translucent, poor design elements. And finally, no lock on the bathroom door? must be a Disney Safety element. Just my thoughts. Great Job Tom! One other poor design element is the TV in the mirror because the only way to watch it is in complete darkness to avoid reflections, I mean seriously.
I have to say it's well done. I'd stay here. I wasn't sure about the makeover but it looks really nice.
It bugs me that the towel rack is IN the shower/tub.Otherwise it's a nice room.
These rooms are crazy expensive. Unless you're a Marvel superfan, I would advise staying at any of the other resorts currently open. If you really need to see the theming, then visit the lobby and take a look at it there.
Poco han pensado en sitios de almacenaje. ¿Dónde dejar la ropa?Tres mini cajones y el armario mínimo. A ver dónde dejas guantes, gorros, bufandas, abrigos, jerseys….. en invierno. Mucho diseño, pero nada práctico.
I have loved your DLP vlogs! Are you going to have any info about COVID testing before coming back to the states? We are going over in September and my husband was looking at some info about COVID testing before we come back but do not know where we would get it done. Thanks!
It looks very nice. The end table between the beds with the phone on it doesn't leave much room for a pair of glasses and/or a cup of water. Such a tight space between the beds. You know if you have 4 people staying there, someone is bound to burst into the bathroom to use the toilet and exclaim, "OH! You are in here!! Sorry."
I would Love some DLP time.. but this theming is extremely limited here. My wife would not like it .. very BLT. I’m so happy for you that you have this opportunity!!
I like the rooms, will be staying there too some day
I can't seriously wait what they will do about the Disneyland Hotel (Paris, of course).
I LOVE that room. Wow. So we’ll done. Need some of these updates in WDW
How nice. You get a nice robe to wear and slippers to take home in Paris and I get a booklet in Florida.
