Michael Sheen is a magnificently knowledgeable and obnoxious pompous ass in the film (acting qualities that make him so wonderful as Dr. William Masters), but what he and the two women don’t know is that Owen Wilson spent the night in the company of Ernest Hemingway and Gertrude Stein when Picasso presented his new painting of Adrienna, whom Wilson fell for immediately. Nothing like having been there yourself to know your stuff, heh. Apologies for the pixelating quality – I hope it doesn’t destroy your enjoyment.

Why would he marry her? She is so dismissive
When Gil does his bit, boy, it just brings back Steve Martin's bit in L.A. Story (1991) for me. Too bad for Woody.
Despite the fact that he wouldn't have known any of that had he not gotten it from the source itself, this scene was so cathartic. Pretty much any time he's in the modern day, he gets totally shat on. In the past, he's rubbing shoulders with giants who respect him.
Volcano in the sack.
Alright, fess up. Who else took forever to realize Paul was played by national treasure Michael Sheen?
IN MY DEFENSE, the past handfuls of times I watched this, it was BEFORE I became a Michael Sheen fan, therefore didn't have the capability of recognizing him.
But in this particular case, it was entirely because of his flawless accent. Never batted an eye, not once.
I shall never question the man's talent again.
Really wanted to punch Paul in the face
I know Michael Sheen is a great actor because even when I absolutely love him, he made me wanna punch him in this movie.
Americans become aware that athletic bullies exist in grade school. But there is also such a person as an intellectual bully….
Paul: Speaks
Me: "Why do I hate you so much?"
Legit my favorite scene in the entire movie although the one where he tells her off might be a contender as well lol
How everyone hates Rachel McAdams proves how great an actress she is.
This is one of the funniest movie scenes I've seen in my entire life.
Paul just got pwn'd XD
Paul I'm gunna have to differ with you on this one. Rachel McAdams blocks the shot of the purple shirt girls smile. I'm looking at the painting in the background. lol I love this scene.
Bottom Line-She was a Volcano in the Sack
Lol I see Paul as a good example of what not to do, seriously stop trying so hard to sound like a know it all, it doesn't look good on anybody.
I feel like there's always a guy like this in my online uni courses. Pedantic, argumentative, condescending, and incredibly arrogant.
Put that know it all in his place. Also break up with your fiance after. Obviously these people are flawed and holding you back.
I hate her so much.
