Morning in a Paris Apartment (#90) An Original Artscore and Artwork by Stuart Meyer and part of the “Scenes of Life” Artscores series. Morning breathes light into the timeless basement kitchen of an artist’s vintage Paris apartment.
Artscores was born during a visit to Paris in 2018. As usual, we opted to rent an apartment rather than stay in a hotel. The apartment we chose was very old and tucked away in a quiet courtyard behind these enormous blue doors just off a narrow side street. We were told many artists, including Andy Warhol, had once taken up residence in this cluster of courtyard apartments. It had a ground level and basement level with a bedroom just off the basement kitchen. Early one morning I awoke to this scene with lighting that made me feel as though I had awakened inside an impressionist-era painting. Fortunately, my camera was sitting on the table next to the bed and I captured this photo which I’ve converted this digital artwork.
