“It’s important for us at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs to provide a global, transversal and poetic view on our collections.”
Olivier Gabet is an art historian, curator, and the director of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
Fashion, design, and art and craft are the soul of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. To showcase this essence of the museum, Olivier Gabet curated various fashion and design exhibitions centered on the French designer Constance Guisset’s works, the Italian artist Piero Fornasetti, and the spirit of Bauhaus. In 2017, Olivier Gabet created the “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” exhibition, which attracted floods of visitors to the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and affirmed the museum’s status in the fashion and design world.
